There was a real sense of excitement and celebration at 116 Pall Mall as colleagues arrived for the 2026 People Awards, coming together to reconnect, share stories and mark an evening dedicated to our people.

Where our people take centre stage

On Friday 22nd May, colleagues from across Holroyd Howe came together at the iconic 116 Pall Mall for an unforgettable evening celebrating our annual People Awards.

Set against a stunning backdrop, the evening was filled with energy, pride and a real sense of occasion. Over a delicious three-course meal, colleagues enjoyed the opportunity to connect, share experiences and celebrate together.

The event reflected the passion, care and expertise that define our teams, shining a light on the individuals and teams who go above and beyond to deliver exceptional experiences within our school communities. From culinary creativity and operational excellence to sustainability and service, the evening showcased the very best of Holroyd Howe and the people behind it.

Special recognition: Simon John, 30 years of dedication

This year, we were especially proud to present the Special Recognition Award to Simon John, marking an exceptional 30 years of service at More House School. Simon’s contribution extends far beyond length of service, as he is widely regarded as a trusted and valued member of the school community.

Known for his humility, consistency and genuine care, Simon has played an integral role in creating a welcoming and supportive dining environment. Over three decades, he has successfully overseen significant growth, expanding from serving 150 pupils to 750 today, while maintaining high standards and a clear commitment to sustainability. His focus has always remained on his team and the wider school community, and his professionalism and integrity continue to make a lasting impact.
